The Religion of Islam Essay - 1446 Words

The country of Saudi Arabia has only one religion which caused Islam it is the largest religion in the Middle East. The follower?s of Islam are Muslims. Muslims believe in only one God just like the Jews and Christians, the major difference is the belief in the nature of God. The word for God in Arabic is Allah and that is what Muslims call God. By looking at the history, the beliefs, and the Islamic terrorists, Islam has been view as a bad religion. The Islamic religion is generally a very peaceful religion, and that a very few of the Muslims are radicals, which gives the religion a bad stereotype. The year when Islam was established is unknown, but what is known is that the last prophet was Muhammad.†¦show more content†¦The Empires didn?t have a strong military against the Muslims armies before they gave into the new faith of Islam. The empires were not good to their people, but the Muslims treated them well. That is what encouraged the people to follow Muslim. The new empire of Muslims was founded in the city of Syrian. In 750 AD Baghdad was the new location of the empire (234). In Baghdad the Arab civilizations flourished. They discovered mathematics, astronomy, and geography. Because of this many of the Arabian traveled around the world and brought the faith of Islam all over the place (235). Today there are Muslims all over the world and many people are converting to Islam every day. The religion of Islam is based on peace. Muslims believe that Allah is the one and only god. He is the creator of the entire universe, and everlasting (Islam online). According to the website Islam online, Muslims also believe that Allah sent the final message to Muhammad to guide his people. Like the Christians, Muslims believe in the prophets Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus. The last prophet they believed to be was Muhammad who received the final message from God. Muslims believe in The Day of Judgment, also called the Day of Resurrection. On this day God will judge all people based on their deeds and beliefs. People would go to paradise or hell.
